Grinning broadly and showing off their envy-inducing curves, celebrities clutch the latest quick-fix weight-loss product. It seems the easiest thing in the world to copy them buy the latest shake, tea or supplement and drop a few pounds. But this week three famous faces had Instagram posts touting diet products banned. Katie Price and Lauren Goodger who have both had liposuction promoted a BoomBod shot drink on their accounts, while Georgia Harrison showed off Protein Revolutions weight-loss gummies. But the Advertising Standards Authority said the posts were irresponsible. In the BoomBod ruling it also added: It was clear from the ads that the influencers did not need to lose weight in order to achieve a healthy weight and that the two celebs had created the impression that it was necessary or advisable for people who were already slim to use products that suppress their appetites.
