Karen Mullarkey is a former IFBB professional figure competitor turned WBFF pro, ISSA certified personal trainer, contributing writer and fitness model based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Karen earned her IFBB pro status in 2007, and made the transition to the WBFF in 2011. She continues to compete on the pro circuit while running her person training business, “No Mullarkey” Personal Training, in Scottsdale at Maximum Fitness. Karen specializes in competition prep, fitness modeling prep, and helping any individual of any fitness level lose weight and get in shape. She loves nothing more than watching her clients gain self-esteem as they get their bodies back! Karen’s passion for fitness and athletics began at a young age and is still her driving passion today. She firmly believes in leading by example, and personifies that in her everyday life, whether she is training her clients or working on her own fitness goals. While she may appear small in stature, this native Kentuckian of Irish descent takes the “No Bull” approach to pretty much everything that comes her way – whether that is in competitions, her training business, or her modeling career. Back in 2010 I was close to 200 lbs and I am 5 ‘6, needless to say……..that is not healthy! I then decided to begin training with Karen Mullarkey and never looked back. Karen’s personality, knowledge, and understanding of my fitness needs helped to get me into the best shape of my life, just one year later.
